FDO

It feels great to be back in Penang, what's not great though was the horrible jam in which I got caught this morning on my way to work. What a first day - enough to make me worry about the decision of buying the house in mainland. I was a bit relieved though when as I drove forward and discovered the cause of the jam - an accident involving 4 black Perdanas. What are the odds? Don't think of me as a horrible person for being relieved that the jam was caused by the accident. What I meant was that at least I know that the jam is not an everyday occurrence but was only caused by that single incident. Honestly, thinking of driving through such a jam everyday is enough to convince me to buy a property in Penang itself (if I could afford it that is).

I was supposed to be at the FTZ by 8.00, but arrived half an hour late. I was lucky in the sense that I've submitted all the documents that needs to be submitted a few weeks ago, because that's what the first hour was for anyway. As that was the case, I sat at the lobby and waited for my new manager to arrive and bring me to my office. I got introduced to the rest of the guys (and a gal) at work. The guys were very friendly, quite a colorful bunch and I can see that it'll be fun working here.

I've got a meeting at 7.00 a.m. tomorrow, can't risk being late so have to wake up early. Off to bed now...it's been a good day. A good FDO. If you know what that means, you know where I work ;-)
